WHERE CAN I FIND THIS GOTHIC FICTION ONLINE?
Byonetime asked:
The announcement is called Fantasmagoriana (Tales of the dead)
The announcement is called Fantasmagoriana (Tales of the dead)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantasmagoriana
I can't find any of the stories inside to review online and I can't find names of the particular authors so which I can poke better
Is Shiner wakeful which Gothic novella is customarily really eremite and mostly preaches and depicts the hideous consequences of sin?
And which most of the translators have been Ministers and Preachers?

"In 2005, the first "full" English translation of 'Fantasmagoriana' was published by Fantasmagoriana Press."
The stories are unavailable online because they were published in 2005. The text needs to be over 50 years old before it enters the public domain and can be posted online (legally).
The stories are anthologised and, due to their age and nature, it is difficult to determine an author. So searching by author would be fruitless.
Your only chance is to search for the original English anthology from 1813 entitled 'Tales of the Dead'. It's unlikely that you'll find it, however, and I've been unable to find it myself, because it was out of print for most of the 20th century and the latter decades of the 19th century, so the chance that someone has digitised the text is slim.
Ah ha! Here it is, the 1813 text. Some lovely person at the University of Pennsylvania has digitised it for you:
Hey, where did shiner go?!
